We all know what stands before us as a serious threat!
We all know that apart from the debates on the different positions in the political spectrum, on the different ideas of nationalism, on the battle against the pandemic, and on the fight against corruption, there lies ahead of us a huge crisis - the depletion of the environment and its resources.
In our fast paced lives, we have truly undermined the essence of sedate civilisation, and have rampantly been using up all the resources for short-term gains. As much of a serious concern this is, creating awareness on this note becomes a tumultuous task in itself. Therefore, we start with analysing our reading of literature. We need to understand that literary narratives depict the physical environment as humans connect with it in reality. The attention towards environment is now more than ever before, for the crisis is rapidly increasing and brutally real. Our contemporary conversations have begun to inevitably incorporate vocabularies like “save”, “green” and “sustainable”. We are at the brink of falling apart!
