“Exiled” (“Agnyaathavaasam”) is a short story written by Madhurantakam Rajaram (1930-1999). In Telugu literature, Rajaram is considered as one of the foremost experts in the art of short story writing. His short stories depict the lives of middle-class or lower-middle-class people from the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. His collection of short stories include Madhurantakam Rajaram Kathalu and Halikulu Kushalama; he received the Sahitya Akademi Award for the former.
